About Reproduction Needs

While sexual intimacy, relationships, and emotional connections fall under love and belongingness, the biological drive to reproduce is part of basic human physiology. 

  • biological basis of reproduction
    • hormonal regulation (estrogen and progesterone, testosterone, oxytocin and dopamine)
    • fertility and reproductive health (menstrual cycles, ovulation, sperm production, menopause and andropause)
  • sexual drive (libido) as a physiological function
