BUILD AND RUN AN ONLINE BUSINESS

What I Do Serves your Purpose. Here's How.

I understand business, especially:

  • Education at the secondary level because my parents were the founders, managers of a private secondary school, in Haiti, where they were my teachers.
  • Education at the college level because I worked at one entity for close to a decade in New York as a government employee.
  • Legal as a solo practice because I used to observe how my father worked as an attorney-at-law in Haiti.
  • Healthcare services that providers run as medical and dentists' clinics because my mother and father, each ran their respective one in Haiti.
  • Brick-and-mortar stores because I ran one where I used to sell kids' clothing in Togo, West Africa.
  • Online businesses because I've learned how to start and run one in order to run mine in the US and help others do the same.
  • Websites for online businesses because that allows one to offer products and services elsewhere than in one's neighborhood or town. Position yourself so you can be one of the rare people to offer web design in your community.

PEOPLE WANT TO BE SEEN AND HEARD

Being People-Centric

I understand local and global human-being needs and wishes. I consider their strengths and challenges, especially those of:

  • People who speak French, with no English fluency.
  • People who speak Creole, with no French or English fluency.
  • People of Haiti, whether here, there, or anywhere (especially on the three continents where I have lived: Central America/North AmericaWest EuropeWest Africa).

Moreover, I have over twenty years of experience translating legal documents and close to six years translating websites. I have done legal interpretation in the language pair Haitian Creole - English for twenty years as a Creole interpreter certified by New York Courts.

It's all about people
DOES DEMAND FOR WHAT YOU OFFER GROW OVER TIME?

Positionning

Now, moving to other topics. I love food. I'm learning to drink water more than I currently do. I understand business. Those are a few of the reasons why I want to dedicate a great deal of my attention to helping everyone interested in fulfilling and in helping fulfill Maslow's first level of needs (physiological) using the SDGs. View the illustration from Statista.com, here. Of course, I am also at your service if you dedicate yourself or your company to other areas of interest.

Are you aware that certain types of offers, occupations or professions, activities, and tools for which demand declines year after year? However, when you look at the illustration above and note the numbers in 2018 and then in 2022, you are probably thinking that there could still be growth in 2026 or 2030 (and that'd be correct). Would you rather be a part of an activity that is declining or one for which demand is expected to grow over time?

Someone Needs what you Do

I can sew custom-made clothing and crochet, too; both of which I taught family members and friends when I still was a teenager. Let me show you. I sewed this pink linen top at fifteen years old. How do you like my light houndstooth jacket? Just as I was able to, you can help others solve problems or acquire new skills.

About Me

Born in Haiti and raised in abundance by loving parents, I went abroad when I turned nineteen. I went from living in a quiet town to traveling across continents. Both of my parents were employees who served their community and entrepreneurs who had even more to give as practicing healthcare professionals, educators, and lawyer. In Haiti, I worked as a tutor. As for entrepreneurship, my first company was a retail children's clothing store in Togo, West Africa in the nineties when I was in my early twenties. Since then, I've got my master's degree in business administration and many certificates, certifications and licenses - all of that, while working in various industries and different positions. I can report that I have learned what business is by immersion, theoretically and in practice, in many cultures. Talk about diversity!
